Please welcome Nancy Shew Bolton

Love Stumbled In just released.

Tell us about your hero and heroine. What makes them likeable?
Carrie has endured multiple tragedies and challenges, as well as heartbreak, yet she remains determined to go forward and make a life for herself.
Judd has shouldered troubles and responsibilities from a young age and does his utmost to steer his brothers and Carrie to adulthood while staying strong for their sake.
How much of the book is based in real life?
During research, I became captivated by all the societal changes and upheaval caused by the first World War and the flu epidemic that followed. (I wrote this book way before the coronavirus pandemic started.) So the issues, popular culture references and concerns of the characters are based in the real life of someone living during that time in our history.
What makes this book special to you?
The characters in this book were particularly compelling for me, as I worked on writing it and they really came alive to me. They faced such challenges and horrible losses and their emotional and spiritual growth was very gratifying to write.
What makes this a "must read" and why?
If you like historical Christian romance that dives deeply into the emotional and spiritual life of the characters, then this is a "must read."
What is the spiritual takeaway for your reader?
God dwells with the brokenhearted, always ready to comfort them.
Is there anything edgy/possibly controversial in your book?
The clash between people of different economic classes could be controversial to some readers.
What is your hero's main character flaw?
In order to shoulder all his responsibilities and losses, Judd has learned to harden his heart and not let anyone get close to him.
What is your heroine's main character flaw?
Carrie reacts to circumstances without thinking things out first.
What can readers learn from your villain?
That even people who act in harmful and toxic ways often have deep unresolved hurts or live with despair.
What makes your hero heroic?
His willingness to put aside his own needs to make sure his family is secure.

what makes your heroine heroic?
Her willingness to search her own character and face uncomfortable truths, as well as her love for her family.
