Undercover Santa is a new Christmas Extravaganza story from Wendy Davy

Character Interview.

Where do you live, and why do you choose to live there?
My name is Kaylea Breslin and live in Silver Lake, Virginia. I moved here about five years ago to be close to my big brother and his daughter Sam. Best move I ever made. I love it here. Fresh breezes from the lake, stunning views of nearby Blue Ridge Mountains. The people are friendly, and the small town atmosphere is welcoming. Oh, and one particular local bounty hunter keeps my life exciting, to say the least.
Who chronicled your story, and why do you think he/she picked you?
Wendy Davy followed me like a puppy for weeks on end as she tried to figure me out. I could've saved her a lot of trouble, and told her upfront that although I own a lakefront candy shop in a small town and have a sweet disposition, I also know how to stand up for myself and take down men twice my size. But she didn't know that, and I was glad to show her how it's done when my big guy first showed up. Wendy sure got some exciting adventures to write about while she was shadowing me. I don't know why she picked me of all people to write about, but I'm glad she did. I have a few of her quirky personality traits, and we've become good friends. She likes to play cupid, apparently. She has her sights on matching up my handsome, yet sometimes hard-nosed, lake cop brother with an outgoing, beautiful out-of-towner that makes a splash wherever she goes. Silver Lake must have some potent love spell in the drinking water, because after Wendy finished my story, she started shadowing my brother. He told me Wendy has this idea that he's going to fall in love with a woman from Hollywood, of all places. He doesn't believe this, as he isn't looking for romance. And he sure isn't interested in some fame-seeking, superficial blonde bombshell. But if I know Wendy, she's not finished playing undercover cupid yet. And my brother might just have his day of reckoning, coming soon…
Tell us about your special romantic interest. What makes them so special?
Although I had my doubts at first, Jace turned out to be quite a catch. Intelligent. Charming. Funny and playful, and an all around great guy, he stole my heart. He also has a bodyguard background and a protective streak that could teach the secret service a thing or two. He makes me laugh, holds me why I cry, and makes me feel safe and loved. Our faith keeps us bonded as our love grows.

The first time you saw your special person, what did you think? Was it love at first sight or did they have to grow on you?
The first time I saw my hunky big guy he was lurking outside my candy shop, and I thought he was a Sasquatch. Or a Bigfoot. He could've even been a Yeti as far as I could tell as big and hairy as he looked. Although once up close and personal, I detected somewhere beneath his scruffy beard and dark, curly hair, that his features were stunning. But I tamped down my instant attraction. After all, the man had been lurking in my parking lot for hours, watching my candy store, and I had to make sure he didn't have nefarious intentions. Suffice it to say, he wasn't too happy when I attacked him with a water ski. Good thing he needed my help, or I might still be in jail.
