From the book itself

Beneath their scrappy personalities are warm, loving people
How much of the book is based in real life?
The funeral scene is real life. The rest is imagination.
Are plots based on someone you know or events in your own life?
No
What books have most influenced your life?
Dale Carnegie's How to Win Firends and Influence People.
What makes this a "must read" and why?
I learned so much about myself.
Do you have a person you consider a mentor?
No. But i could have ulsed one along the way.
What do you do when you're not writing?
Volunteer. Read. Yoga.
What does your family think of your writing?
They are thrilled that I'm published.
What is your next project?
An ex-drill sergeant and a family doctor with four young children.
If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
No.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging when it comes to your writing?
Trying to make each character human
Who is your faviourte author and what is it that really strikes you abou their work?
Kristin Higgins. She's fun to read and has a great sense of humor.
What is the hardest part about writing?
Trying to stay in the character's head.
