What is your writing schedule like? When I begin a new writing project, I often start with the title. It usually comes to me very easily, and serves as a writing prompt which kickstarts the writing process and acts as a catalyst for the entire story. On this occasion, however, my editor commissioned me to write a novella with the theme “Whatever is Noble” based upon the Scripture in Phillipians 4:8. So that was my starting point. I didn’t have a title to begin with, but as the story developed, the image of a field of forget-me-nots, began to play an important part in the heart of the heroine, Georgiana. It served as a metaphor, for loss, hope, and love, and then the title just came to me. |

How did you come up with your title? As a pastor’s wife, and mother of three girls, my time is very precious. When the children were young, I’d write during naps times, but now that they’re all of school age, I try to write between 9 and 3 whilst they’re at school. I say ’try’, because the Christian ministry does not always stick to a schedule! So I tend to split my writing time and church responsibilities fifty/fifty, but it often means if I miss a couple of hours of writing in the day, I like to make up for it in the evening. The kids don’t get to bed early like they used to, but they’re generally quiet enough for me to get a little work done! |

What do you do when you're not writing? When I’m not writing, or serving in church, or being ‘mum’ and all that that entails… I like to read, watch movies and explore the English countryside. Oh, and tea. I simply love finding new places to drink tea. |

What is the spiritual takeaway for your reader? Seek to do what is noble in the Lord’s sight. |

What is your hero's main character flaw? He struggles with his past hurts, and has a tendency to run away from them. |

What is your heroine's main character flaw? She bottles up her feelings, and finds it difficult to open up. |

|
What can readers learn from your villain? In this book, the protagonists Ana and Luke are also the villains. In the beginning, they’re behaviour is antagonistic toward each other, as it can be in any marital relationship. Readers can learn that just as there was hope for Ana and Luke, there is hope in real life. Hope for love and a better future. |

What makes your hero heroic? Luke is a noble gentleman, and does not want to force Ana into anything that would make her uncomfortable. |
|

what makes your heroine heroic? Ana strives to be honorable in everything that she does, sacrificing her own comfort for others. |
