Tell us about you and your book.

 

What is your writing schedule like?
Usually four hours a day of writing. Then reading, housekeeping, yoga, walking,keeping up with family and friends.
What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
If I have any, I'm not aware of them.
How did you come up with your title?
I wanted to show the two sides of the hero's attitude toward life.
Tell us about your hero and heroine. What makes them likeable?
Because they are flawed and grow in character
How much of the book is based in real life?
Experiencing a fall on my face was as real as life can get.
What makes this book special to you?
i came to understand the difficulties people experience in looking "different."
Are plots based on someone you know or events in your own life?
Other than the heroine's fall, the rest is my imagination.
What books have most influenced your life?
As a teen I ran out of romance novels so I picked up a family purchase. It was an early edition of How to Make Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
What makes this a "must read" and why?
I hope they will pick up the book and enjoy my efforts.
Do you have a person you consider a mentor?
No
What book are you reading now?
Untamed by Nora Roberts
What do you do when you're not writing?
Keeping in touch with family and friends. Yoga. Walking. Housekeeping. Lots of reading.
What does your family think of your writing?
They love the fact that I'm happy in my fantasy world and encourage me to continue.
What is your next project?
Two people who loved as teens, are separated, and experience serious obstacles to finally come together.
 
Is there anything you find particularly challenging when it comes to your writing?
Learning and imagining are challenges.
Who is your faviourte author and what is it that really strikes you abou their work?
Susan Mallery catches my initial interest and keeps it going to the end of the book She features appealing characters.
What is the hardest part about writing?
Eliminating noise. Keeping track of what's written.
Did you learn anything from writing this book? What was it?
Compassion for others who are less fortunate.
Do you have advice for other writers?
Write and rewrite until you reach your goal.
Do you have anything specific you want to say to readers?
Read and enjoy.
