Welcome Lillian

What is your writing schedule like?

I usually write in the morning for anywhere from 2-4 hours. But that time includes more than writing a story because there's lots more to being a writer than writing.

Tell us about your hero and heroine. What makes them likeable?

I love that the hero is a rock and roll star while the heroine is the bodyguard.

what is the spiritual takeaway for your reader?

There is nothing I can do that will stop God from loving me!

What is your hero's main character flaw?

He's a rock and roll star and a bit full of himself.

What makes your hero heroic?

He's willing to admit he's made mistakes and he learns from them.

What is your heroine's main character flaw?

She's afraid to let people into her world and she's a control freak.

what makes your heroine heroic?

In spite of knowing what she wants, she listens to what God wants her to do.

What can readers learn from your villain?

Don't be greedy!

What makes this book special to you?

I love writing Christmas stories that help us focus on the real meaning of Christmas, but still have lots of suspense!

What is your next project?

I'm just finishing up the final edits for JANE DOE. It's a who-done-it with lots of action, suspense, and more twists and turns than a mountain road.

Do you have advice for other writers?

Don't give up!

Now Meet Maddie Cotton from All I Want For Christmas Is Johnny Rocker Dead

Tell us your name and a little bit about yourself

My name is Maddie Cotton. I've been a bodyguard for several years but it's time for a change. The job doesn't leave much time for a personal life which was a good thing while I've been healing from the loss of my family.

Where do you live, and why do you choose to live there?

I live in California. I was born here so I guess that's why I still live here.

What is a quirk of your personality that people don't know?

Some people say I'm a control freak. I don't think I am. I just like things the way I like them.

What obstacles did you overcome in order to reach your happily-ever-after?

My parents and my sister died in a car accident when I was only a teenager. As you can imagine that was a horrible time in my life. I had to be tough to get through it–maybe a little too tough.

Tell us about your knight in shining armour. What makes him so special?

Zeb, better known as Johnny Rocker, is quite the character. But he's so open to God and what God wants for him, it makes me want to be more like him.

The first time you saw your special person, what did you think? Was it love at first sight or did he have to grow on you?

I thought he was a prima donna rock star and wasn't impressed with him–at all! But the more I got to know him, the more I liked him.

How did you come up with your title? I had a shoulder replaced in June of 2020. The surgeon also did repair on a broken acromion (the flat bone connected to the clavicle) that forms the top curve. I found out later the pins were just “floating.:” So that part of the...
