My name is Jessie Cobler. I was raised by my Aunt Janell, and I raised my barrel horse, Buck, who is my only family since my aunt passed.

Where do you live, and why do you choose to live there?
I’ve moved a lot lately, trying to win barrel races in rodeos to pay off my uncle’s debts so he won’t sell Buck.

What is a quirk of your personality that people don’t know?
I’m amazed by quilts, although I’ve never made one. They’re a nod to a woman’s life.

Who chronicled your story, and why do you think he/she picked you?
Susan Spess told my story, because she has a heart for horses and red headed men.

What obstacles did you overcome in order to reach your happily-ever-after?
I was sure my uncle had sicced the police on me because I left with my horse. He wants to sell Buck to pay his debts.

Tell us about your special romantic interest. What makes them so special?
His heart is bigger than all of Oklahoma, which he demonstrates by the way he cares for his mother and younger brothers.

The first time you saw your special person, what did you think? Was it love at first sight or did they have to grow on you?
The first time I saw Mitch Tanner, both our lives were in danger. I was on the ground with my foot shoved through my stirrup, and he was standing in front of my spooked horse, keeping him from dragging me across the arena.

What is the spiritual takeaway for your reader?
The Tanner family has a very deep love for God.

Is there anything edgy/possibly controversial in your book? 
Jessie has stolen her horse and is hiding out on the Tanner ranch.

What is your hero’s main character flaw?
He believes he should replace his father because his father died saving him.

What is your heroine’s main character flaw?
She’s a horse thief.

That tenacity pays off. He searches for Jessie and Buck until he finds them.
